The Evergreen Downtown Business Association (EDBA), a 501(c)6 non-profit, sponsors the Evergreen Creative District.

Evergreen was selected as one of 7 candidate Colorado Creative Districts in 2014. Currently there are 12 certified districts. The award brings both recognition and resources to strengthen the arts locally and will elevate the profile of Evergreen as an arts destination.

The Evergreen Creative District is a historic Colorado community of productive artists of all kinds falling within the 80439 zip code – musicians, painters, sculptures, writers, designers, jewelers, architects, performers, poets, photographers, culinary artists, makers, dreamers and doers. The natural, serene beauty and wildlife of this small mountain town nurtures the local's mind with constant inspiration to create and provide lively, colorful experiences for all to enjoy.

Evergreen is just 30-45 minutes from Denver, making it an easy, refreshing day trip to get away from the city. Artistic, rustic and natural surprises greet you around every corner in this eccentric mountain town.

Visiting the Evergreen Creative District gives you multiple choices of art venues, unique shopping, bistros, pubs, patio cafes, creek-side dining, coffee shops, live music, theater and rustic B&B's. Two different historical homestead museums take you back in time to the heritage of what it was like to live here over a century ago.

Downtown, the Heart of the Creative District, is a historic Main Street situated between a flowing creek and pink rock canyon walls. The shops, cafes and pubs show the character of the environment and the people who have nurtured this town.

While driving, hiking, or biking through Evergreen you will see constant vistas of the Foothill Mountains emerge behind one another. Evergreen Lake is a vibrant focal point of activity in all the seasons, and at the eastern edge flows a waterfall over the edge of a dam, where gardens and art enhance the base. Elk, deer, foxes, eagles and other creatures of the wild are part of our daily lives for the ones who live and work here.

With over 140 non-profits in this unincorporated community, imaginative festivals and events are ongoing, catering to multitudes of interests.

We invite you to discover Evergreen year round, whether you get here by way of I-70 or a beautiful, canyon drive along Bear Creek on the Lariat Loop, or through the 285 corridor.
