    Downtown Clean-up Day
    Thursday, May 28
    &
    Saturday, May 30
    8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
    Both days
    (Weather permitting)

We will sweep sidewalks and board walks, sweep along the street curbs, and pull weeds. What can get accomplished will be determined by how many show up each morning.

Eric Gill is working with CDOT to schedule sweeping the highway earlier that week. We will work from the trail underpass and down Main Street as far as possible, again, depending the number of people who show up.

Call Eric Gill 303.674.8363 or Linda Castle 720.218.9007 with questions. We will also be posting this clean up day on our Facebook page and placing a press release in local papers to invite the general public to help. All are welcome!

Watch for more reminders and details.

    6th Annual Dam Ducky Derby

The Dam Ducky Derby and Carnival, now in its sixth year, annually draws 3,500 visitors.  A fire truck drops numbered ducks from above the dam to the creek below. As the rubber ducks race down Bear Creek, spectators follow the flow of thousands of ducks as they approach the finish line at Highland Haven. Children become part of the activity as they help collect the ducks at the end for another round the next year.

Anyone can participate by buying ducks, and are given unique numbers. The winning duck numbers are documented as they cross the finish line, and cash prizes and sponsor gifts are awarded to the holders of the speediest of the successful ducks.
